Visual Communication Exhibition 2010

The annual Visual Communication Exhibition returned with a bang in 2010 at a new venue & curated by graduate Adam Flannery, as part of his 3rd year studies. Under the supervision of Roger Dunstan, 3rd year co-ordinator, Adam & a team of 3rd year students transformed a gallery space generously offered by Renew Newcastle.

Featuring a huge variety of works by the design undergrad and honours students fresh from the creative hub of Newcastle University, the exhibition featured illustration, animation, photography, posters, t-shirts, installation, CD covers, magazines, skateboard decks, traditional letterpress and screenprints. The graduating cohort raised the bar in 2010, and 2011 will be no different.

The exhibition was received extremely well and attracted a huge opening night crowd of not only proud friends & family, but also local industry representatives & a few prominent Australian Graphic Designers.

Big thanks to Libby de Souza for contributing photos of the event, too.
