Paul Draper is the Deputy Director (Research) at the Queensland Conservatorium and Griffith Chair in Digital Arts. With a 25-year track record as a professional musician and recording studio producer, Paul designed and realised the Conservatorium’s recorings studios, computer laboratories and networked audio-visual environments.
Paul holds a doctorate in education, has developed music technology and multimedia degree programs and is the recipient of grants and awards in these areas. He is the Director of IMERSD, Griffith University’s premier 5.1 sound recording and post-production studio, engaging in interdisciplinary practice-based projects and research training. He writes on higher education and the arts with other publications including music albums, film sound tracks and internet works.
